The latest news from BPFMC:

January 2020 BARN DRIVEWAY & CAR PARK UPGRADE

We are pleased to announce that work on re-surfacing the driveway has now been completed, with just the pedestrian footpath and speed bump markings to be painted. Work on the car park has been delayed by recent rain but should be completed in the next week or so. This will eliminate rainwater puddling and mud patches.

March 2022 - Outdoor Exercise Equipment

We have been successful in obtaining funding from the National Lottery Community Fund towards the purchase and installation of Outdoor Exercise Equipment suitable for use by adults and teenagers. This equipment, consisting of 7 individual pieces of apparatus, has been installed in the Play Area where it is covered by the Barn's CCTV cameras.

We were granted Gift Aid status by the HMRC in May of 2019 - and this should help us to reclaim tax from donations. Gift Aid is a UK tax incentive that enables tax-effective giving by individuals to charities in the United Kingdom and will allow the BPFMC to claim an extra 25p for every £1.00 donation from every standard rate tax payer.

Don't forget that Baston Village Hall ('The Barn') is available for casual or regular hire. It's an ideal venue for parties, indoor activities or classes. Recently refurbished and decorated throughout, it's an attractive building with excellent kitchen facilities and central heating. For further details about the hire charges either visit BPFMC's website at www.bpfmc.org, view them on the BPFMC noticeboard next to the main gate of the playing fields, or contact the bookings clerk. Enquiries can also be made via the Baston Village Hall facebook page.

Lastly, BPFMC is always keen to recruit new volunteers. If you are interested in helping with the running of your village hall, playing fields and leisure facility, please contact the Chairman via chair@bpfmc.org or on 561148.
